My great great grandfather Ex-Coxwain Henry Williams and great grand-uncle Coxwain Alexander Williams both died in the tragic events that occurred on Christmas Eve 1895, whilst putting their lives on the line for the sake of others. Henry was survived by his wife and two sons (his third son was Alexander) and Alexander was survived by his wife and six children. I feel that this website is my tribute to these two men, along with the rest of their crew, and they deserve for the world to know of their heroic acts and absolute bravery. "
